Attwood Equestrian Surfaces was founded by Nick Attwood in 1992. Before this, Nick was an R&D Scientist for En Tout Cas, the first synthetic surfaces company in the World. Over the last 24 years, Attwood Equestrian Surfaces has constructed some of the most prominent riding arenas in the USA, and our customers include many top-drawer competitors and trainers. Our story began with several private farms in Oklahoma, and we have now completed over 500 installations in 42 out of the 50 states of the U.S.A.
Over the years, the Attwood team has grown to include further high level scientists, project managers and commercial expertise. A dedicated scientific team is responsible for much of the R&D that goes into formulating our world-class footings. Not only does the team support current and future products, but also keep abreast of changes in the riding sphere, for instance by maintaining relationships with the FEI, and collaborating with leading academics around the world.
We also have a strong project management team which uses modern project management techniques to ensure our installations proceed to plan. A unique aspect of our way of working is that we take complete ownership of all our projects, and do not rely on sub-contractors. Each project is executed by our team of highly qualified engineers which ensures we are in complete control of the work, and are always able to deliver on quality, and adhere to stringent timelines. To ensure that we fully understand the needs and motivations of our customers, our business professionals engage closely with the equestrian community, and regularly participate in shows and clinics around the World. Our entire team is extremely global in nature, comprising people from the USA, Europe and Asia, helping us to understand and adapt to the culture and environment of each region into which we sell our products and services. In recent years we have begun to extend our geographical reach. With our vast in-house experience, we are now ready to offer our renowned and highly unique surfaces and installation services to a wider audience, and have laid the groundwork for this by establishing dedicated offices and teams in both Europe and Asia.
